At last Superstar Rajinikanth
starrer Kochadaiiyaan is finally set for a grand release. The official word
from the makers is that the movie will be released worldwide in more than 6000
screens on the 11th of April in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi,
Punjabi, Bhojpuri & English.
An announcement by the film
producers said: “We officially annouve that superstar Rajinikanth’s
Kochadaiiyaan would release on 11th April in theatres across the globe. The
film, produced by Media One Global Entertainment and Eros International, is to
release on 11th April and is only the third film in the world made using the
photo-realistic ‘performance-capture’ technology after Avatar and TinTin.
Kochadaiiyaan is an epic
dramatization of good versus evil starring South Indian megastar Rajinikanth in
a double role in a larger than life depiction. Also starring in the grand
production is leading lady Deepika Padukone together with South India’s leading
stars R. Sarath Kumar, Nassar, Aadhi, Shobana and Rukmini. Sunil Lulla, CEO of
Eros Entertainment, says that Eros was very proud to release Rajini’s
Kochadaiiyaan and expressed his confidence that the film would create a new
box-office record in the history of Indian cinema.
Announcing the release of the
film, Ms.Soundarya Rajnikanth Ashwin, the director of the film said, “Following
last year’s celebrations of India's film making centenary we view the release
of Kochadaiiyaan as part of the next steps of Indian cinema. For the first time
a full length feature has been made using performance capture technology in
India and I truly hope this creates a whole alternate film making avenue apart
from live action films in our country”. Kochadaiiyaan music will be launched in
2nd week of February 2014
