Tamil Comedian Chitti Babu Dies at 49 | Chitti Babu Dead | Chitti Babu Passed Away | Chitti Babu Died | Tamil Comedian Chitti Babu Dead



Tamil comedian and television anchor Chitti Babu aka Sajjadh Adeebh died in a private hospital here Friday. He was 49.

TV personality turned actor Chittibabu  had acted in films like Ottran, Boys, Five Star, Dhool,Sivakasi, Dindugal Sarathi, Mappailai. He was very popular  for his comedy time programme and the Asatha Povathu yaaru Show in Sun TV. "He was admitted to Royapettah Government Hospital on Wednesday after he fell unconscious due to high diabetes in his house. On Thursday, he slipped into coma and never regained consciousness.

Chitti Babu underwent a bypass surgery recently. The team of doctors at the hospital identified a tumor in his brains  and  Later on Wednesday he was shifted to the Royapettah Govt Hospital and was under observation. However Chitti Babu’s condition deteriorated and he breathed his last  this evening.

"Even though he worked in a few films in the last two years, he couldn't work as actively as before because of the bypass surgery," the source added. He started his career as a television anchor of a comedy show. In 2002, he made his cinematic debut with Tamil romantic-drama "Five Star".

He has starred in films such as "Ottran", "Dhool" and "Sivakasi". His last film "Madha Gadha Raja" is awaiting release. He recently started taking up new assignments and was also shooting for a film.  But on Monday, Nov 4th  he fainted at his home and was admitted to a private hospital at Mogappair-Chennai, but his condition gradually worsened and was in Coma. Chitti Babu is survived by his wife and son.
